Written by New Media Middle School students Tenille, Kaytlyn, and Terra, these lyrics focus on how to deal with the loss of someone you love. A few months before this song Tenille had lost his great grandmother amd Terra’s uncle suddenly moved a couple states away. Writing this song helped the healing process for both of them.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Lyin' here, in tears,
I never thought I would see,
A time when you weren't part of me.
You meant so much to me.
And now that you are gone, I feel empty.
Growing up, facing fears,
Never thought there'd be a day,
That I'd see you go away.
You always taught me.
And now that you are gone, I can't sleep.
Chorus:
The memories are in my heart, Even though we're far apart.
Staring at the door. Don't know what to do anymore.
Staying up. Being tough.
Trynna make it through....
Without you.
Without you.
Verse 2:
All alone, in this world,
Missin' you a lot, It would be hard to not,
Now that you're gone from my life.
It gets hard for me to breathe sometimes
Every night, I go to bed,
I only see you, in my head
Every feeling that I get,
But I can't let you go just yet.
Chorus:
The memories are in my heart. Even though we're far apart.
Staring at the door. Don't know what to do anymore.
Staying up. Being tough.
Trynna make it through....
Without you.
Without you.
Bridge:
Those nights I think about you are dreamless, sleepless nights.
Even though there's no denying that I'll see you again.
And our hearts will beat together, beat together as one.
I loved, You loved, I loved, You love me.
I love everything about you,
How come I have to be without you?
I love everything about you,
How come I have to be without you?
Chorus:
The memories are in my heart. Even though we're far apart.
Staring at the door. Don't know what to do anymore.
Staying up. Being tough.
Trynna make it through....
Without you.
Without you.
Without you.
