When lyricists Claire, Cassie, and Tristan of Wickliffe Progressive Elementary School sat down to begin writing, they stuck to the old writing adage to write what you know. “You don’t want to put things in there that you don’t think you’ll like, that you don’t really know. For me it would be football, I’m just not a football person so I’m not going to write lyrics about football.” After the whole process was complete, Cassie had a brand new outlook on songwriting. “It doesn’t take somebody like Taylor Swift to write a good song, it can be kids who can write an amazing song."
lyrics
La-la-la-Lost, lost, lost, lost
All of these Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
In a dream,
In the wild-wide open country
My only friend
The sun was shining
(Ba-bum-ba-bum-bum)
Bumble-jumble
All of these thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
Help them out,
write it down-
but first,
I'll put them to good use...
La-la-la-Lost, lost, lost, lost
All of these Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
Elevator up-
Elevator down-
They come from all different parts of town
(We all end up on the same team)
Flying through the air
I could be anywhere
Sometimes, just in a grocery store...
I'm in a nerf war
All of these thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
La-la-la-Lost, lost, lost, lost
Lost in these thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
Figure, figure out my life
I'm lost and need advice
I'm dreaming of a world
Outside my window
Ba-bum-ba-bum-bum
Bumble-jumble
All of these thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
Figure, figure out my life
Flying through the air
I could be anywhere
La-la-la lost, lost, lost, lost
All of these thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
The sun comes up,
The sun goes down,
It's not a dream...
I want to be...
(I'm a dreamer in my own world)
La-la-la-Lost, lost, lost, lost
All of these Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts
